HoloHelmet

Experience our HoloHelmet

Discover precision like never before with Building Virtuality's advanced Holohelmet system.
At Building Virtuality, we've harnessed the power of advanced technology to revolutionize the construction layout process. Our innovative system uses Virtual Reference Station (VRS) technology to pinpoint the exact location of our base station, creating a fixed point of absolute precision on your construction site. This is just the beginning.

Mixed Reality

New reality unlocked: Experience the limitless possibilities of the Hololens.
Enter a world of limitless possibilities with the revolutionary Hololens. With its advanced sensors and powerful processor, the Hololens immerses you in a stunning mixed reality experience.
Discover a new dimension of interaction, where virtual objects seamlessly merge with the real world around you. Thanks to the Hololens’ unique holographic display, these objects appear lifelike and can be viewed from any angle. With the Hololens, you literally have the control in your hands. Use hand gestures, voice commands, or the handy controller to navigate and interact with the virtual content.
From exploring complex models to training staff in real-world scenarios, the possibilities are endless with the Hololens. And best of all, its wireless connectivity means you can collaborate and share information with others seamlessly, wherever you are.
Discover today how the Hololens can transform your world and give you the power to go further than you ever thought possible.

Use HoloHelmet for Quality and Progress Monitoring

The ultimate tool for modern construction professionals.
Ever wondered if "as designed" really matches "as built"? With the HoloHelmet, we can project the digital model directly onto the physical building, allowing you to see at a glance whether the construction accurately matches the 3D model (BIM).
With a quick check on construction progress, we ensure the work is actually being carried out as planned – because every step must be carefully executed. Our dashboard allows you to load customizable checklists, making the process more structured and efficient.
With Mixed Reality (MR), you can immediately see visual deviations from the schedule or the 3D model. And the best thing is: you can communicate these discrepancies directly with others, let them watch in real-time and even explain what is going wrong with voice and hand gestures.
In short, with our HoloHelmet you are always assured of maximum control over the quality and progress of your construction projects.

Efficiency meets technology; deploying through Mixed Reality

How we developed the Total Station.
Discover the future of precision on the construction site with our innovative HoloHelmet! Thanks to our advanced HoloLens, seamlessly integrated into a hard hat, laying out points becomes an effortless experience.
Thanks to the Hololens' transparent HUD, digital objects, including crucial layout points, can be projected directly before your eyes. Our intuitive dashboard allows you to easily prepare for work by loading the model and field controller, preparing you for any construction site challenge.
Once the HoloHelmet is set up, you can access points one by one on-site and handle them efficiently. And for those times when you need assistance, our Hololens offers the ability to share what you see in real time. Whether with someone in the office or in the shed, collaboration has never been easier.

Visualize pipes with the Holohelmet in Mixed Reality.
Gas (and other) pipelines visualized in Mixed Reality in exactly the right place based on a KLIC model. A Holohelmet-Outside example application;
With the fully developed Outside-Holohelmet system (in the pilot phase at customers), pipes can easily be visualized at exactly the right location and the right depth. The certainty of taking a sample at the right place whether the KLICK data is correct becomes a simple and more certain job that does not involve the interpretation of flat drawings.
Even better, technicians can perform the work with minimal instruction. This also applies to contractors' technicians. The Holohelmet allows technicians to see a virtual representation of a specific location. If assistance is needed, it can be requested through the Holohelmet. An expert can then remotely monitor the situation and provide guidance.
The Holohelmet system consists of a Tripod with Localization Antenna (Base Station) and the Holohelmet (Roover) with a Mixed Reality Visor and a Localization Antenna. The required method provides a significant time saving explained through a Concise working method overview below;
  • The KLIC model of the intended environment is automated in work preparation converted into a virtual model and made available in the Holohelmet.
  • The technician places the Basestation in a suitable location. Subsequently the Holohelmet and the Base Station are turned on. The Mechanic sets up the Holohelmet and selects the desired environment. All subsystems calibrate automatically. After 10 seconds, the Holohelmet view shows that the system is ready to start.
  • Thanks to KLIC's visual display, the engineer gets an indication of where to go for detection. The desired pipe route is displayed, with or without other pipe route information (for example, gas versus water or fiber optic), allowing the engineer to easily mark out the required trench.
  • The display of the combination prevents excavation work for the gas pipeline from disrupting other pipes.
  • With 1 calibration, for example in a street, up to 150 to 200 meters away from the base station (all around). Distance can be limited by obstacles such as shipping containers that are in the way.

The Outside-Holohelmet system developed by Simultria.
With this system it is possible to measure and set out by an executive employee without specific measurement knowledge or skills (say; without a surveyor or a surveyor training).
By combining accurate absolute and relative positioning, a virtual model is displayed in exactly the right place which has been loaded into the Outside Holohelmet via conversion.
We've developed a Conversion & Optimization module that automatically converts various types of models into models suitable for Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality. This allows customers to generate virtual models for buildings, installations, infrastructure, pipes, etc., based on their existing model database.
The Base Station provides precise absolute positioning. The positioning is processed in the virtual models of the intended environment that are loaded into the Holohelmet. This determines the relative position of the Holohelmet. Via Real Time Offset calculations continuously determine the exact relative position of the Roover.
